At 66 years old, I am the oldest person in the group where I work. Last week I heard them talking about generational stuff. When they got to Boomers I stood up and said, “Hey! I am a Boomer.” One of the guys responded, “But you are a cool boomer because you embrace technology.” He went on to say, “My mom and dad are boomers and they don’t even have smartphones. They don’t do email or web-based stuff. They have a smart TV but barely know how to use it. You, on the other hand, downlink ultra HD video comms from the Space Station.”

I had never thought of it that way. The technology does get tiring for me. That is why I like working on old carbureted cars instead of playing video games like the young generation.
